What is homeostasis GCSE Biology definition?

Homeostasis is the regulation of internal conditions to maintain optimum conditions for enzyme action and cell function, in response to internal and external changes.

What is the reflex arc GCSE Biology?

The reflex arc is: Stimulus → Receptor → Sensory neurone → Relay neurone (in spinal cord) → Motor neurone → Effector → Response. This is a very common exam question!

How does the body control blood glucose levels?

When blood glucose is HIGH: pancreas releases insulin → liver converts glucose to glycogen. When blood glucose is LOW: pancreas releases glucagon → liver converts glycogen back to glucose.
