Mo Abukar
Head of Science / Lead Practitioner / Head of Chemistry – 11 years of teaching and tutoring experience
Mo is an experienced and passionate educator with over 11 years in mainstream education, currently serving as Head of Science. He has held a range of senior roles, including Lead Practitioner, Head of Chemistry, and Assistant Curriculum Leader, and has taught across several high-performing schools.
Specialising in GCSE Science (all disciplines) and A-level Chemistry, Mo has a strong track record of helping students achieve outstanding results. At Barnhill, his GCSE Triple Science class achieved an impressive 91% A*-A — a success that was recognised in a recent Ofsted report.
Before transitioning into education, Mo worked as a Drug Development Specialist, bringing valuable real-world scientific insight into the classroom.
